BUPT logoBeijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, established in 1955, is globally renowned for its groundbreaking research and teaching in the field of Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, and Computing.  Since its founding, BUPT has consistently been ranked among the top 5 universities in China for IT and related subjects, and has officially been designated a ‘Key University’ by the Ministry of Education – a privilege conferred only to China’s top 100 institutions.  Link to BUPT website.

QMUL LogoQueen Mary, University of London is one of the four largest colleges in the University of London, a federal institution, comprising over forty academic institutions and colleges, and recognized the world over as a centre of excellence in teaching, learning and research. Originally founded in 1885, Queen Mary is a world-class, research led institution in its own right, and has been part of the University of London since 1915.  Queen Mary has recently been ranked 12th in the UK by the Guardian newspaper and 99th out of the top 200 universities in the world by the Times newspaper.
The Department of Electronic Engineering at Queen Mary, was established over one hundred years ago, and has always enjoyed a reputation for academic excellence.

A Truly International Experience

The Joint Degree programmes offered below are the culmination of 4 years’ successful partnership between these two unique institutions – a pooling of expertise and resources that has resulted in two programmes which are uniquely tailored to equip Chinese students with requisite skills and knowledge to succeed professionally in the world of tomorrow.

Taught in English, by staff from both institutions, these programmes reflect the two institutions’ strong links with industry, and their absolute commitment to training world-class professionals.

Programmes will involve a total of 4 years’ study, and will lead to degrees from both BUPT and the University of London . These programmes are Ministry of Education approved, and students can be sure that they will be recognized both in China , and internationally.

On completion of the programme, students will have acquired not only the necessary skills to communicate confidently and fluently in written and oral English, but also the practical knowledge and technical expertise to pursue rewarding and fulfilling careers.
