The International Workshop on Antenna Technology is
an IEEE annual international conference which was initiated in 2005 (iWAT’05)
to bring together international groups of engineers and scientists to
gain better insight into antenna technologies and applications. The
objective of the workshop is intended to provide an international
forum for the exchange of information on the progress of research and
development in innovative antenna technology, particularly, for the
miniaturization of antennas and the broad/multiple-band antennas. The
workshop will focus on advanced technology such as applications of
advanced materials and artificial materials to antenna design, and
promote the new antenna technology in academic and industrial
communities. The antenna design related to emerging wireless
communication and radar systems will also be highlighted.
The International Workshop on Antenna Technology 2005 (iWAT’05)
was successfully held in Singapore during 7-9 March, 2005.
iWAT’06
was held in New York, USA during 6-8 March, 2006.
The International Workshop on Antenna Technology 2007 (iWAT’07)
will be hosted by Queen Mary, University of London, in collaboration
with Sony-Ericsson Mobile Comm. AB and University of Manchester. The
theme of IWAT’07 is: ‘Small and Smart Antennas, Metamaterials and
Applications (SAMA)’.
