Research Topic: Image understanding for automatic human-machine separation

Research Scope:

The aim of my research is trying to increase the gap of what human users can understand and machines cannot by creating automatic tests to diferenciate them. These tests are called CAPTCHAs, and their main objective is to secure internet applications against threats like spam, malicious softwares, etc.

Research interests:Software computing, Image manipulation, 3D modelling

Biography

I was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1984. In 2002 I took a BSc in Telecomunications Engineering at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and finished in 2008. During 2008 I also worked as a software developer for IntecDom as well as doing my MSc thesis there. Since October 2008, I am a PhD student at Queen Mary, University of London, working on Image understanding for automatic human and machine separation.
