Research interests: 

• Content based information retrieval, indexing and annotation;
• The Semantic Gap problem;
• Knowledge based content processing;
• Multimodal Content Representation;
• Advanced Image Classification and Clustering;
• Pattern Recognition and Data mining techniques;
• Machine learning techniques, statistical learning approaches, discriminative analyses, kernel based approaches, optimisation techniques etc.

Participation in projects: MESH -Multimedia Semantic Syndication for Enhanced News Services; K-Space-Knowledge Space of semantic inference for automatic annotation and retrieval of multimedia content;

Biography

Divna Djordjevic received the Dipl.-Ing. Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Nis , Serbia , in 2002. She received her PhD degree in 2006, from the Electrical Engineering Department, Queen Mary University of London. She is currently a Research Assistant in the Multimedia and Vision Group at Queen Mary, University of London .

She is the recipient of the award for best thesis in 2001/2002, and has received two acknowledgments for exemplary success from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering University of Nis in 1999 and 2000.
