Research Scope

Video visualization as an research area addresses the problem of presenting the content of large video and image database in intuitive and concise way. Efficient video retrieval involves various technologies such as image processing, human-computer interaction and user interface. After performing automatic segmentation and annotation of video content that results in organising video in specific form, browsing and visualization is needed for concise presentation of the content.

There has been a lot of work done regarding development and design of video visualization systems, with different image processing tools, browsing and visualization algorithms. Since the result is high user dependent there is always an open issue of the quality and efficiency of the existing visualization systems.
