Project title: QoS based vertical handoff between WLAN and WiMAX compatible with the 802.21 framework

Biography

Lina is currently a research student in the department of Electronics Engineering, Queen Mary University of London. Her research interest is the QoS based vertical handoff between WLAN and WiMAX. This work mainly focuses on the MAC layer differences between WLAN and WiMAX, and it intends to utilise QoS handoff triggers in order to optimise the network performance, especially, under hybrid traffic type co-existing scenarios.

Lina obtained her BSc. degree in Electronics from the department of Electronics Engineering, Beijing University of Post and Telecommunication, China, in 2004. She obtained her MSc. Degree in Telecommunications with distinction from Queen Mary, University of London in 2005. She has won the first prize in the National Undergraduate Electronics Design Contest in China, in 2003.
