Project title: Intelligent Resource Management in Next Generation Optical Networks

Biography

Degrees Awarded:

• MSc Wireless Networks (Networks Pathway) from Queen Mary, University of London, UK.
• BSc [Hons.] from Government College University Lahore, Pakistan.

Research Interests:

• Using Swarm Intelligence algorithms like particle swarm optimization, genetic algorithms and ant colony optimization etc, for resource management in optical networks
• Routing and wavelength assignment
• Optimization & re-optimization of network resource usage
• Pro-active connection management for automatically switched optical networks, employing heuristic algorithms like particle swarm optimization to minimize the number of re-deployments required bringing the network configuration back to global optimal state.
