International Relations at Postgraduate level

We have a large MSc programme including some exciting new courses. We also have a long history of welcoming students from around the world. Over the years, hundreds of international students have graduated from our department and gone on to pursue successful careers in their chosen fields. We are committed to excellence in research, while providing a quality education within a friendly environment.

Remember that we are campus-based, 15 minutes away from central London and that you will be joining a welcoming, cosmopolitan college with more than 10,000 UK, European and international students.

Queen Mary is ranked 14th in the UK and 100th in the world in the Times Higher Education Supplement's 2004 study of the world's top 200 universities. Queen Mary also rank 36th in Europe's Top 50 Universities table.

If you would like to study for a PhD, research in our department is organised into two major research groups: Communications and Digital Signal Processing & Multimedia . Each research group has a number of academic staff together with research assistants and research students.

Financial support is provided by grants and contracts from research councils, the European Union, government departments, international research organisations and industry.

We have strong links with industry, which ensures that all of our activities maintain a high degree of relevance to current needs.

I will be happy to discuss your situation and put you in touch with the relevant administrative staff if you have graduated abroad and would like to join:

•  one of the 15 courses on our MSc programme
•  one of our research groups to study for a PhD
