Biography
Dr Yue (Frank) Gao obtained an undergraduate degree at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in 2002. He received an MSc with Distinction in Telecommunications in 2003 and a PhD in Electronic Engineering in 2007, both from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Queen Mary, and University of London (QMUL). Afterwards, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering (now School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science) at QMUL.
His research interests include wireless communications, small antennas and bioelectronmagnetics, specialised on multiple antenna design for mobile terminals, diversity antenna system for GPS/GALILEO receivers and MIMO channel modelling. He has completed the project of Modelling of Difficult Environments funded by Galileo Joint Undertaking, and the On-body Propagation Project in collaboration with Sony Ericsson, Sweden and Holland. He has also contributed to the BUPT-QMUL Joint Research Lab and Joint Undergraduate Degree programme in Beijing, and assisted four research grant applications from the Chinese government, EC and industry since 2005. Recently, he received two research grants:

- EMC Testing of Mobile Communications Platforms
