April 13-15, Montreux, Switzerland

Special Session on Real-time object tracking: algorithms and evaluation

This special session proposes to address some of the principal technical challenges in real-time object tracking. The session aims at bringing together researchers interested in designing, implementing and testing robust object tracking algorithms that can be applied to real-world sequences, characterized by sudden or gradual changes in the input statistics. Papers are covering various aspects of target tracking, including:

  • multi-modal tracking
  • multi-sensor tracking
  • performance evaluation metrics
  • target representation
  • initialization techniques
  • model updating techniques
  • dynamic feature selection
  • robust statistical techniques
  • dynamic background modelling
  • use of a-priori information in object tracking
  • real-time applications
