6th International Workshop on
Image Analysis for Multimedia Interactive Services (WIAMIS 2005)
April 13-15, Montreux, Switzerland
Special Session on Real-time object tracking: algorithms and
evaluation
This special session proposes to address some of the principal technical
challenges in real-time object tracking. The session aims at bringing together
researchers interested in designing, implementing and testing robust object
tracking algorithms that can be applied to real-world sequences, characterized
by sudden or gradual changes in the input statistics. Papers are covering
various
aspects of target tracking, including:
- multi-modal tracking
- multi-sensor tracking
- performance evaluation metrics
- target representation
- initialization techniques
- model updating techniques
- dynamic feature selection
- robust statistical techniques
- dynamic background modelling
- use of a-priori information in object tracking
- real-time applications
