Group Project for MEng (Level: 6 Credits: 30)

A group simulation project to be taken by all third year MEng students registered for an MEng programme of study in Electronic Engineering.

The module aims togive students experience in:

  • commercial quality simulation packages
  • working as a team
  • problem solving skills
  • using simulation tools
  • implementing a design or development project using simulation tools.

At the end of the project, students should have demonstrated an ability to:

  • work as part of a team in organising time and sharing tasks;
  • apply scientific and/or engineering principles to the solution of a practical problem using simulation;
  • manage time effectively and produce written progress reports and a final report on time;
  • make effective presentations of their project work, and demonstrate the project;
  • write a project final report that is satisfactory in literary terms and that completely describes the project work and that critically relates the work to current technical practice.
